Scaligero Castle, located in the picturesque town of Sirmione on the southern shore of Lake Garda, is one of Italy's best-preserved medieval fortresses. Constructed in the 13th century by the Della Scala family, who ruled Verona at the time, this stunning castle boasts impressive crenellated walls, a drawbridge, and a scenic harbor. It served both as a defensive structure and a port fortification.
